The Glenn W. Garlock papers, 1898-1937.

Contains: personal correspondence written during Garlock's military service in the War of 1898, World War I and to various soldiers after World War I regarding the actions of the 32nd Infantry Division in France (1898, 1916-1925, 1929-1937); official correspondence (1914-1919). Includes A.E.F. general orders (1918), War Dept. bulletins (195-18), War Dept. circulars (1914-17), War Dept. special regulations (1917-18), 1st Infantry, Wis. Nat. Guard general orders (1915), Wisconsin, Adjutant General orders (1911-1919), field orders of 128th Infantry, W.N.G. (1921); correspondence school papers (1906-1916). Includes photocopies of newspaper clippings on the 1st Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the War of 1898 including lists of dead and actual newspaper clippings from CAMP MacARTHUR BUGLE and other papers (1917-1926); photocopy of a booklet entitled: CAMP HARVEY, WISCONSIN (1898) and a photocopy of Garlock's service diary (1917).

Garlock was with Co.B of 1st Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry at Camp Cuba Libre in Jacksonville, Fla. and at Fort Atkinson, Wis. in 1898. He became a Captain in 1st Infantry Wisconsin National Guard in 1914 and was promoted to Major in 1915. He was stationed at Camp Wilson, Tex.
